TRAINING OVERVIEW
The Defensive Tactics and Use of Force Training Program is based on the ASGTA Defensive Tactics Course. Techniques and protocols for this course were developed by master instructors with the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission following exhaustive studies of real-world use of force incidents and tactical testing conducted in cooperation with numerous federal and state law enforcement agencies. Instruction and practical exercises presented in this training focus on appropriate, proportionate, and effective use of force. This program equips executive protection professionals with critical skills and information to ensure the safety and security of principals, bystanders, and agents themselves during high-stress active-threat scenarios.

Certificates:
Successful participants will be awarded a CERTIFICATE OF QUALIFICATION for this program. Each certificate includes a three-tier ranking designation based upon individual performance: Proficient, Highly Proficient, or Exceptionally Proficient. Individuals who fail to meet the standards of this training program will not be certified by the Academy.

Prerequisites:
AS Solution is dedicated to the improvement and professionalization of the executive protection industry. Academy applicants will be evaluated according to a mix of criteria prior to course admission:

 

  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Demonstrably high degree of personal ethics and professionalism


Training Hours:
This is an intensive 2-day, 16-hour course.

Tuition:

  • $295 USD
  • Participants are responsible for their own travel, accommodations, and personal insurance (if desired). Accepted applicants will be notified as early as possible to allow ample time for arrangements and reservations.
